Employee arrested for selling 120 company-purchased iPhones on the Internet

A 39-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly purchased 120 iPhones through his employer and illegally sold them online.

The Scott Police Department reports that the business filed a report on July 19, 2013. The employer asked for an investigation after learning that the company saw a significant spike in it’s cellular expenses.

Investigators learned that Scott Brian Gurzynski of Carencro, ordered the phones and sold them through a free online classified sales list. The total value of the theft is estimated to be $34,691.

Gurzynski was arrested and charged with felony Theft. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Prison.
