Draft party for former Tiger Tharold Simon canceled after arrest
EUNICE, LA — A draft party planned for a former Tiger has been canceled after he was arrested for public intimidation.
Tharold Simon was arrested by the Eunice Police Department on Thursday, April 25 after he allegedly threatened an officer during a traffic stop.
The Eunice Today reports that the NFL hopeful was pulled over shortly before midnight for allegedly playing his music too loudly. Police Chief Ronald Dies told the local paper that Simons said “I own this town and I’m going to get your job, I’m going to get you fired.”
Simons allegedly pulled away from officers when they attempted to arrest him.
Simon was projected to be drafted tonight in either the second or third round. Eunice Mayor Rusty Moody says a party planned to celebrate Simon being drafted has been cancelled.
The Eunice-native is charged with Obstruction of Public Passage, Unnecessary Noise, Resisting an Officer and Public intimidation.
