Domestic dispute results in couple’s arrest for drug charges

A domestic disturbance call resulted in the arrest of two people for various narcotics charges, according to police.

“While speaking with one of the persons involved, officers observed a strong smell of marijuana omitting from the persons vehicle” Chief KP Gibson, Crowley Police Department, said.

Officers took it a step forward and obtained consent to search the vehicle which led to the recovery of 31.5 grams of marijuana. However this case did not end here.

During the search cocaine (powder) and crack cocaine were also recovered. In all 20.3 grams of crack cocaine and 26.6 grams of powder cocaine were recovered. Both parties involved in the disturbance were arrested based on the narcotics charges.

Darrion Thomas, 31, of Crowley was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute (marijuana).

Temeka Davis, 21, of Crowley was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute (cocaine).

Both were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
