Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office are trying to identify suspects in a theft that took place in the early morning hours of Valentine’s Day at Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista around 3:30 a.m.

According to police reports, the two suspects were seen on video surveillance driving up to the front entrance in an SUV.

One of them got out of the passenger side, entered the store, and went into a restricted warehouse area.

This suspect takes a large, flat-screen television and leaves through a rear emergency exit, triggering the fire alarm.

He then loaded the TV into the SUV, which the second suspect had driven to the rear of the building.

Video shows the car driving away with the rear driver’s side door open and the TV sticking out of the vehicle.

The vehicle can then be seen driving off the lot and onto Delmar Road.

Anyone with information on the crime or information on who the two suspects may be can reach St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960.
