Crouch Stock kicks off tomorrow with non-stop rock bands playing all day

Crouch Stock fundraiser for Crouch Foundation-Suicide Prevention

Friday, March 15, 2013 - 12:15pm

Tomorrow is the annual fundraiser for the Crouch Foundation.  Crouch Stock will start tomorrow morning at 10:00 in Broussard in the parking lot of the Station Bar and Grill.  The Crouch Foundation is a nonprofit in Lafayette dedicated to suicide prevention.  Their programs are educational based and they also offer a survivor of suicide support group for those left behind.

"Crouch Stock is actually how the foundation got it's start.  Jacob Crouch would have a party every year at the end of the semester just for his friends to kind of kick back and relax after finals.  The year after he took his life his friends decided to hold a memorial celebration of his life on Memorial day weekend, and they had bands that came out and played.  They had a lot of bands that donated their time, and people donated money and after all of the funds were put together and they paid all expenses, they had over $30,000 left over so they decided to start the foundation," says Lori Bienvenu, Executive Director of Crouch Foundation.

The foundation kept the party going every year as the fundraiser in tribute to Jacob Crouch.  This year's pre-registration has already exceeded expectation, and you are still able to buy tickets at the gate tomorrow.  It starts at 10:00 am and lasts all day long with rock bands from local to Digital Summer and Sevendust performing.
