Port Sulphur, La — An oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico has been stopped.

Crews had been working to stop the leak since a ship hit an inactive well-head yesterday.

The incident happened about nine miles southwest of Port Sulphur.

Crews have pulled over 1,000 gallons of an oil and water mix out of the gulf, and cleanup efforts are continuing tonight.
