Current Chief of Police in Scott Chad Leger has announced that he will be running for another four year term.  He was first elected chief of police for the city of Scott in 2003, and since has been re-elected twice.  He says his main reason for running is to serve the people, and explains why this position is so important to him.

"We can call the shots as a leader, and having twenty-five years of law enforcement experience I've seen the different things and how the times have changed and where we're at today.  Knowing and having the vision of where we can bring law enforcement to better serve the people is important," says Chief Chad Leger, chief of police for the city of Scott.

Although so much has improved through his term as chief already with a new facility for fire and police as well as training more officers, Chief Leger plans to continue enhancing the department as the growth continues throughout the city of Scott.  He will seek re-election on November 4, 2014.
