The heated race for US Congressional District 3 continues as frontrunners Charles Boustany and Jeff Landry campaign vigorously. Today, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry endorsed Boustany. The incumbent Boustany was grateful for the Department's support, saying theirs "is a tremendous endorsement."
Mike Strain, speaking for the Department, said of Boustany, "We've been working together many years; I'm endorsing Charles Boustany, I need him to get back into Washington where we will continue to work together for the betterment of the Third District, for the betterment of Louisiana, and [for] the betterment of the entirety of the United States."
The other frontrunner, Jeff Landry, recently gained support from two of the US Senate's leading conservatives, Jim DeMint, R-SC and Mike Lee, R-UT.
