Bossier City man charged with girlfriend's murder
BOSSIER CITY, LA — Bossier City police have arrested a man in the shooting death of his girlfriend last month.
Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit arrested Taurus Tramell Carter, 22, of Bossier City, early Wednesdy evening on a criminal warrant charging him with second degree murder.
Carter is accused of killing Ieshia Winbush, 21, of Bossier City, on September 23 at Carter’s home in the 600 block of Patton Street.
Detectives had considered Carter a suspect in the case since the start of the investigation and have worked the past week and a half securing enough evidence to warrant the charge against him. Detectives secured the warrant for Carter’s arrest Wednesday afternoon.
Carter was booked into the Bossier City Jail. Bond is set at $500,000.
