Baton Rouge volunteers leaving to help Florida residents prepare for TS Isaac
BATON ROUGE, LA — A special team of Red Cross volunteers are leaving this morning to help with shelter preparations in Florida for Tropical Storm Isaac.
The shelter team includes a few volunteers who have helped on previous disasters, including earlier this summer to Florida for Tropical Storm Debby.
A couple are new volunteers who are part of the AmeriCorps program and arrived in the past couple weeks.
