Authorities looking for Lafayette armed robbery suspect

The Lafayette Police Department is looking for a man that robbed a convenience store.

On June 17 at around 10:25 p.m. police went to a store located in the 2300 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway regarding an armed robbery.

The employee there told officers that an unknown black male entered the convenience store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.

She stated the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The suspect then exited the store and entered a white four-door Honda that left traveling west on Dulles Drive.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black mask over his face, a dark blue long sleeve button down shirt and blue jeans. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 337-232-TIPS.
