NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police cited an assistant city attorney after they say he had a marijuana cigarette.
According to police, Jason Cantrell was in Magistrate Court when the joint fell out of his pocket.
The mayor's office says Cantrell was working on a private case at the time -- and not for the city.
According to the NOPD, Cantrell was speaking with an officer at the time while inside Magistrate Court.
Cantrell's wife, Latoya, is a candidate for the New Orleans City Council B seat.
