Armed robbers of fast food restaurant provide a ride home for their victims

Two crooks reportedly provided a ride home for their victims after committing an armed robbery at a local fast food restaurant.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the robbery occurred on Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Wendy’s located on South Sherwood Forest. We’re told two black males carrying handguns entered the fast food restaurant shortly before 10:00 p.m. and demanded not only all the cash in the store, but personal property from the store’s employees.

Officials say the suspects then demanded for all the employees to exit the building. They forced one of employee to provide a vehicle and told everyone to get inside.

What happened next is a bit bizarre.

“The suspects got into the car with the victims, drove it, and then dropped each employee off at their individual homes,” Cpl. Tommy Stubbs, Baton Rouge Police Department, explained. “They then fled the scene in the victim’s car.”
