Donor promising to match anything raised up to $100,000 by December 30th
Lafayette, LA (KADN) — The donor has offered to match anything Hearts of Hope can raise up to $100,000 by December 30th. So Hearts of Hope is having their annual Giving Tree donation and working hard to get the word out to help fund this wonderful organizations, which houses three programs that respond daily to thise in our community that have been affected by sexual violence through education, advocacy, and empowerment.
"One in three girls and one in five boys will be molested by the age of sixteen, and where else would they go? We kind of call ourselves the one stop shop for help for those who've experienced this type of trauma. We help the victim-the survivor and we also help their famiilies, their immediate family members that will need the counseling and the support for everyone for the whole family unit and that's what we can provide," says Jill Dugas, executive director of Hearts of Hope.
All donations will help keep hearts of Hope's three programs, the sexual abuse response center, the children's advocacy center, and the sexual assault nursing examiner up and running. Donations can be made at businesses like Vanessa V's, Hemline, Dave's Car Care Center, and Antlers that have donation boxes set up in front of the business. You may also mail a donation to PO Box 53967 70505 or make an online donation by going to the website "TheHeartsofHope.org."
