HAMMOND, LA (NBC33) — The man accused of poisoning trees at Auburn University's Toomer's Corner, Harvey Updyke, has been arrested yet again.
Police in Hammond say he made threats to staff members at a Lowe's after a dispute over the refund of a lawnmower; Updyke claimed he was owed $150, which was $40 more than the store manager said he was due.
Subsequently, he was arrested again last week for making terroristic threats.
Updyke is still awaiting trial for the alleged 2010 poisoning of 130-year-old trees on the Auburn campus.
