A stretch of I-10 near I-49 reopened just before six yesterday after being closed for hours.
The closure was due to a crash that happened just after five this morning.
Authorities told a car slammed on its breaks and an 18-wheeler swerved to miss it.
The accident happened in the west bound lanes between Louisiana Avenue and I-49.
Crews had to empty the tanker truck to get it upright again.
No one was hurt.
