4 suspects arrested for auto theft, burglary; damage vehicles while off-roading

The Scott Police Department has arrested four suspects wanted in connection with several recent crimes.

The first suspect is Roy Andrus Jr., 20, of Lafayette. The other three suspects in the case were juveniles.

According to police reports, the four suspects went to Kossuth Road and entered two vehicles without permission and stole an undisclosed amount of coins and a wireless entry remote.

The suspects later drove away in a third vehicle, which was found to have substantial damage.

The suspects proceeded to the business of BFI/Allied Waste on Mire Street. There the suspects drove two pickup trucks through a locked gate.

The two trucks were driven off road until they became stuck in the mud.

A joint interrogation was done by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Scott Police Department, and the Carencro Police Department.

The suspects eventually admitted to the crimes.

Andrus was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The three juveniles were arrested and sent to the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center.
