17-year-old Texas girl arrested for 'pimping out' her friends
TEXAS (CNN) — A 17-year-old south Texas girl is accused of pimping out more than a half-dozen of her friends.
Police say the teen pushed the girls into prostitution.
17-year-old Chelsea Elizabeth Taylor is accused of bringing underage girls to a home in Friendswood last summer for sex. Right now police believe there are at least 8 victims, one as young as 14 years old.
"They'd park in the front, I'd see them walk up to the door," said neighbor Lindsay Diekman.
Investigators say 62-year-old Michael McIntosh convinced each to perform sex acts in exchange for money.
According to court documents the girls called him "Money Mike" because of the thousands of dollars he gave them in just the last few months.
"I was told anywhere from 300 to a few thousand, it varied," said David Nettles of Webster Police Department.
Police say Taylor took a cut from every transaction, they tell us McIntosh met Taylor at the restaurant where she worked, and according to court documents she had sex with him too.
One of those victims told police Taylor brought the girls to McIntosh because she hated him and hated having sex with him. That victim told investigators Taylor believed the younger girls could quote, 'take one for the team,' meaning they were easily manipulated into having sex with McIntosh.
Police say only one continued to have sex with McIntosh because Taylor threatened to tell her father if she quit.
"It is crazy." said Diekman.
At Clear Spring High, where Taylor went to school, fellow students are stunned.
"To find out that she was one of the people that's just shocking, I mean I wasn't expecting any of the kids at this school to do that."
McIntosh has been charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child.
Taylor, the 17-year-old, has been charged with compelling prostitution.
