Water Remains Standing After Torrential Carencro Rains
Many residents in Carencro are still seeing standing water after suffering more than 15 inches of rain on Monday.
Resident's near Stelly Road and Roo Cornot have never seen this kind of high water level.
They say that's because the Coulee need's a major clean out.
City Parish Councilman for that area, Jay Castille, say's no problem.
Homeowners in that area just need to give the City Parish the okay to get the job done.
“I've been here for twenty-two years. people that didn't sign to give the right away, please give the right away. let them come in, clean out, do what they have to do so we can drain this water. we don't want a reoccurrence of this. me and my neighbors are frustrated, you know like i said, we just remodeled the house, did some work in it, and now we've got to go back and change everything again. please let them come in and do what they have to do.”
Councilman Jay Castille says the Carencro Coulee Project will be submitted immediately.
