Opelousas police say they've soved a murder that happened twenty four years ago.
 

Jonell Rubin was arrested just last week for domestic abuse.
 

 Opelousas Police say DNA links him to the murder of Brenda Dupont back in 1988.
 

Dupont was 29 years old when she was murdered.
 

Rubin is charged with first degree murder and aggravated rape.
