Louisiana State Police Joining FBI In The Saints Wiretapping Investigation
The Louisiana State Police are joining the FBI in the Saints wiretapping investigation.
This comes after an ESPN report said General Manager Mickey Loomis was able to plug an earpiece into a jack that was under the desk in front of him in his suite.
This allowed him to listen in opposing teams play-calls.
the report published says it happened in the 2002 to 2004 seasons.
"From our partnership perspective and our team with the FBI, we use their resources, they'll get to use ours. My trooper that i assign to it can bring in any other troopers that he needs any other resource that he needs for the state police, but it's important to me that we get to the bottom of these allegations because that is exactly where they are right now."
colonel mike edmonson said his agency is investigating whether any state laws were violated.
According to Louisiana Law, state police is the only agency that can conduct a wiretap.
