the Hunger Games broke records at the box office this weekend.
The blockbuster has a South Louisiana connection you may not know about.
Judd Lormand who's originally from Lafayette has a role in the movie.
He was even a part of the " hollywood " premiere a couple of weeks ago.
Lormand's role is a "Peacekeeper" of Panem.
Lormand says his speaking part got cut out of the movie but he's still in a major scene.
"honestly i feel great, i couldn't be happier, just started acting when i was very young, and then got away from it because when i graduated high school you had to move to L.A. and New York, and now L.A. and New York have come here."
Lormand has also had roles in Treme, Memphis Beat and he's landed several commercial gigs.
