The Cajuns kick off their 2009 campaign Friday night
The UL baseball's drive for Ohama begins tomorrow night at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field when the Cajuns host the Nebraska Cornhuskers. UL players and coaches put on a smile today for the cameras. The team had their official team photo taken before their 2:30 practice.
There are some questions surrounding tomorrow's opener. The Cajuns' health has been a question, especially in the outfield. Also, shortstop Will Long could miss some game this weekend with a deep thigh bruise. Nebraska will provide a good opening test for Tony Robichaux's squad.
All-in-all, the Cajuns are just happy the season is here. Most of the players we talked to at practice today said they were ready to pitch to somebody else for a change.
Kick off your Mardi Gras weekend with Cajuns baseball. Don't forget, you can catch two games this weekend on our sister station, My KLAF TV. Check us out at Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader at 2 p.m. and then again bright and early Sunday morning at 11:30. See you at the park!
