Rice Farmers' yields may see best year ever

Louisiana rice farmers are on track to produce a state record yield this year.

That is... if they can make it through hurricane season.

In southern Louisana, almost all of the rice has been harvested. And farmers are saying the numbers look good.

The northern part of Louisiana is about halfway done with harvesting their crop, and they're also pleased.

They say mother nature is to thank, for the good weather, and better climate.

The rice industry in Louisiana is a big part of the state's heritage, tradition, and livelihood.
