Around here, we call him "Mr. 4,000". Will we soon call him, "Mr. NFL"?
Ask the guys that tried to tackle Tyrell Fenroy last season if he is ready for the NFL.
They might tell you, bluntly, yes. NFL scouts are a bit pickier.
Tuesday morning, nearly two dozen scouts critiqued Fenroy's every move trying to gage whether the four-time 1,000 yard rusher could hack it in the NFL.
Fenroy ran the 40-yard dash three times because there was some question as to his actual time. Cajuns assistant coach Tim Rebowe said that the scouts were impressed that Fenroy could move his bulky frame so quickly. According to Rebowe, the Bears sounded very interested in Fenroy but also had heard that the Steelers were interested in the former Cajuns runner.
After his workouts, Tyrell chatted with me about his future in the NFL.
