BATON ROUGHE — Louisiana State University's chancellor says the school should not be afraid to increase tuition.
The college board's annual report shows LSU students are paying less than other public universities.
The average in-state tuition in the United States is about $8,300. LSU's tuition is about $5,200.
Officials say any tuition hike has to be approved by state lawmakers.
