Wednesday, October 21, 2009 - 9:33am

LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette city council voted last night to fund a GPS track system in specific city vehicles that passed by a small margin.

Officials say a total of $395,000 will be spent on the tracking of city-parish and Lafayette Utilities System vehicles.

Six votes were needed to override the veto, but only five were cast against the measure.
