
LAFAYETTE - Reports now show the man accused of killing a 22-year-old University of Lafayette student is a convicted felon and was arrested almost 12 times in texas.
Officials say Jose Luis Segura Jr. could face a parole board in Texas before a grand jury in Louisiana.
Some of the the past charges include theft, forgery and parole violation.
Segura is currently being charged with first-degree murder and forgery.
