Traffic violation leads to four drug arrests

Four people are behind bars after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a large quantity of cocaine being transported from Houston, TX to Jacksonville, FL.

In the evening hours of July 14, a traffic stop was conducted on a black Chevrolet Impala on I-12 near exit 40 in Hammond.

The driver was identified as Brandon Williams, 26, of Jacksonville, FL. Williams had two passengers who were identified as Joshua Ryan Eastwood, 25, and Kerrick Jalil Jackson, 26.

During the roadside investigation, deputies and agents located a total of $7,500 in cash, marijuana and illegal prescription narcotics inside of the black Impala.

The investigation further revealed that a second vehicle, occupied by Breann Bane, 24, was also traveling from Houston to Jacksonville transporting a large quantity of cocaine. A short time later, agents located the green Honda Civic which was being operated by Bane.

It was found that Bane was transporting approximately 250 grams of cocaine in the vehicle. Bane said she was transporting the cocaine for the three subjects in the black Impala.

Williams was charged with possession with the intention to distribute more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of illegal prescription narcotics and a traffic violation.

Eastwood was charged with possession with the intention to distribute more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of illegal prescription narcotics.

Jackson was charged with possession with the intention to distribute more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of illegal prescription narcotics.

Bane was charged with possession with the intention to distribute more than 200 grams but less than 400 grams of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of illegal prescription narcotics.
