GRETNA, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: We're told that the child has been identified but police have not provided any additional details. More information will be provided later today.
ORIGINAL: A toddler was found walking along a busy road in Gretna this morning, and police are trying to find his parents or guardian.
The Gretna Police Department spotted the child at roughly 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19. They say the child was walking along Manhattan Boulevard and Claire Avenue, which is located along the Westbank Expressway.
So far police have been unable to locate the child’s parents. They say the child has not told them his name or any other information.
The child is described as a black male who is 2 to 3 years of age, 26-28 inches in height, 30-35 pounds, brown eyes, with black hair.
