Suspects sought for fatal shooting in the Iberville Housing Development
NEW ORLEANS, LA — New Orleans Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Aldred “Al” Dixon and 19-year-old Demonte “D-man” Carmouche. Dixon and Carmouche are wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Terrance Lewis.
On the night of July 8, 2012, officers were patrolling in the 1400 block of Bienville Street when multiple gunshots were heard. Upon further investigation, Lewis was located suffering from a single gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. Emergency Medical Technicians transported Lewis to the hospital where he later died during surgery.
In surveillance video obtained by detectives, Dixon and Carmouche were positively identified as the persons responsible for the fatal shooting and an arrest warrant was obtained for Second Degree Murder.
During the course of the investigation, it was also learned that Lewis had been involved in an on-going feud with Dixon and Carmouche for some time.
Dixon has a previous arrest for disturbing the peace.
