the longtime NFL Linebacker John Seau was found dead today in his home in California.

Police say Seau committed suicide.

If rumors are true Seau is the latest of several former NFL players who've taken their own lives.

Some believe the deaths may have something to do with brain related injuries, sustained through their pro careers.

The 12 time pro bowler started his career with the San Diego Chargers in 1990.

Seau who retired with the patriots in 2009 was 43 years old.
