Today the public was invited to an open house to find out the future of downtown Lafayette.
With Lafayette's comprehensive plan currently underway, the open house was a chance to spotlight the greater downtown Lafayette area with an eye towards growth for the next 20 years.
Key downtown issues were on display boards in the Acadiana Center For The Arts.
It was a chance for downtown officals to highlight the positive change that has already taken place and how the comprehensive plan will take downtown Lafayette to the next level.
Downtown Lafayette houses around 7,000 employees with a mix of arts, culture, resturants, retail and business development, not to mention free music.
The 'Downtown Alive' concerts start back up on Friday Sept. 7.
