Louisiana schools taking part in the new voucher program will have to follow some new guidelines.
The board of elementary and secondary education says schools receiving state dollars to accept kids from underperforming schools will have to show proof of performance.
That means all students will take state tests.
All participating schools must report those scores to the state.
If test scores aren't up to par the school won't able to accept students under the voucher program for at least a year.
A total of ten thousand kids are trying to take advantage of the voucher program.
Only six thousand six hundred will get a spot.
