Remember no one can buy sell or shoot fireworks in places that are inside the city limits.

Breaking the law could get you thrown in jail.

If anyone  does shoot them off in places that allow them Lafayette's Fire Chief Robert Benoit says play it safe because fireworks can be dangerous.

State Police also say do not drink and drive because police will be cracking down on that through the weekend.
