The investigation on how two inmates escaped Lafayette's downtown jail last month is all done 

 It turns out four deputies violated department polices that day.

 details on "what rules" were broken have not been revealed but were determined to have been unintentional.

The deputies have been disciplined.

Some however have been suspended without pay while others have been demoted.

The two escapees were eventually tracked down and will face punishment for that crime.
