Tuesday, June 12, 2012 - 7:12pm

After years of fighting between the city of Broussard and the city of Lafayette, Lafayette Mayor President Joey Durel says he's considering extending an olive branch of sorts to Broussard Mayor Charles Langlinais(long la nay).

Durel says the bickering between the two cities over property and water bills has to stop.

Durel wants to sit down with the Mayor of Broussard to see how the two parties can better work together and end any remaining legal battles.

Mayor President Durel told FOX 15 News that he planned on calling Broussard officials to set up the meeting as soon as possible between the neighboring cities here in Lafayette Parish.
