Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar in New Orleans, renowned for its delicious Louisiana-inspired menu and unique game-day dining experience, has been selected as one of 12 finalists for ESPN Mobile’s Best Sports Bar in North America.

Nationwide voting for Walk-On’s and its 11 competitors – spanning from Maui to Toronto, Atlanta to Portland – will be open for one week (Tuesday, Sept. 25, through Tuesday, October 2) on ESPN Mobile’s “Best Sports Bar in North America” site (m.espn.go.com/wireless/hotcorner?id=8292292). ESPN Mobile averages 25 million unique visitors per month.

Walk-On’s has already been voted Best Sports Bar in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans, so it’s fitting that it is the only Louisiana restaurant among the North American finalists.

“This is a huge honor for us, and we’re extremely proud to be named among the top 12 sports bars in North America by ESPN,” said Brandon Landry, co-founder and owner of Walk-On’s and its parent company, Last In Concepts. “Now we’re asking all our loyal customers, and everyone in Louisiana, to go online and vote for Walk-On’s. Let’s show America our Bayou Pride!”

With more than 150 flat-screen TVs, Walk-On’s has become the go-to destination for great food in a great sports-themed atmosphere. Walk-On’s is the place to go to cheer on the local teams, and to enjoy all the biggest sporting events of the year.

Since its opening, Walk-On’s New Orleans has hosted major events for the BCS National Championship, SEC Championship, NCAA Men’s Final Four, Super Bowls, High School State Championships and most Saints, Hornets and LSU football games.

“We love what we do at Walk-On’s, and our customers can sense that when they come through our doors,” said Landry. “We’ve developed a special chemistry in our restaurants that really resonates with local sports fans, probably because we’re big fans ourselves. And we’re proud to be one of the few places where you can go party with friends or feel comfortable taking your whole family, including the kids.”
