LAFAYETTE, LA (KADN) — Bad news for Louisiana's Ray Boudreaux, he was booted off NBC's "The Voice" Tuesday night.
Ray didn't get enough of America's vote to stay in the competition.
The Lafayette native was one of 2 singers that went home.
"The Voice" is now down to just 6 contestants.
"At this point, there's gonna be a winner and the rest of us go home at some point, and i just feel grateful and humbled by the whole experience," he said before the show.
Ray's coach Blake Shelton reacted strongly to losing Ray.
He said Ray "worked his butt off to get this far.. and its disappointing to see him go."
The final 6 contestants will perform live again on "The Voice" Monday night at 7pm on NBC 33.
