Shooting at construction company site, 2 killed

BATON ROUGE - A shooting happened just before 2 p.m. outside Grady Crawford Construction.

We are told the suspect, 53-year-old Richard Matthews used to work for the company.

He shot three female workers, one a dispatcher for the company.

Two of the victims died, the other was taken to a hospital.

Deputies say Matthews tried to shoot another worker, but missed.

The sheriff's office says things inside could have been much worse.

Matthews is facing two counts of first degress murder, along with two counts of attempted first degree murder.
