Vets from all over the world were honored for their service on Veterans Day.

Across America and in Acadiana, many ceremonies were held for men and woman who have served in the armed forces.

A special re-dedication was held honoring Captain Steven Benett of Youngsville. Benett was presented the medal of honor. The ceremony of the monument and plaque was held at the Cajundome.

Captain Bennett served as a pilot with the United States Air Force and died in action in Vietnam in 1972.
