Farmers look to hay to stop oil
Louisiana farmers are pushing hay as the answer to the cleanup.
They say enough bails are leftover in the gathering process to send to the coast.
The idea is to place the hay on the edge of the water as a barrier and as the oil pushes through, the hay would act as a filter.
The hay could also be chopped up and spread over spill areas, then British Petroleum workers could scoop up the oil soaked hay before it sinks.
