Lafayette Police have arrested 19-year-old Emmanuel Hebert of Lafayette for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, stemming from an incident that occurred on November 19, 2010, at approximately 9:20 pm.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Delord and discovered that a large fight had occurred and several gun shots were fired. The victim of the gun fire was shot once in the leg and transported to an area hospital. The victim was later released from the hospital that evening in good condition. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Emmanuel Hebert was identified as the alleged shooter in the incident and a warrant was issued thereafter for his arrest. On Monday, Hebert was arrested without incident. The case remains under investigation.
